Highlands Music Collective’s “Follow the Score” Concert
The popular Highlands Music Collective returns to Burrawang for its first concert in 2022. Featuring five of our community’s highly respected musicians performing passionate baroque arias by Handel, Schumann and Halvosen and the incredible “Concervati fedeles” for soprano and strings written by Mozart when he was only nine years old.
Artistic Director, Myee Clohessy introduces an unusual initiative with her “Follow the Score” concerts, introducing audiences to how composers through the ages have notated music and giving listeners a chance to discover how dots and squiggles on the page magically become the music in the air. The chosen score for this concert will be Mozart’s Conservati fedelest to show how this young man’s mind worked.
