ABOUT BURRAWANG
First settled in 1862, the village of Burrawang is nestled in the very heart of the Highlands. It is a village that is proud of its picturesque quaintness and its nineteenth century charm.
Our unique cottages and country gardens are little different today than they were a century ago. The local business houses, too, are famed for their old-world charm, personal service and kind hospitality. Let our village take you back in time to an era of tranquility and peace. Read more

Trash and Treasure markets underway at the Burrawang School of Arts #burrawangvillage #burrawangsoa
Lots of great photo shoots to share with you all soon, including a sneak peek of my very recent shoot at the stunningly renovated burrawangvillagehotel .... which is also my local! We are so incredibly fortunate to have this pub around the corner, and I remember fondly as a child our family would drive all the way from Sydney for a “Burrawang pub burger” (4hr round trip!). Luckily I don’t need to go far to get one these days and the food is better than ever 👌🏼 Its new makeover is all kinds of country chic. Stay tuned for more! #burrawangvillagehotel #southernhighlands #cottonwoodphoto
Can’t get enough of these two.
Married on the weekend in an arts hall in the cutest town of burrawang with autumn colours in full bloom.

Throwing a whole lotta love burrawanggeneralstore’s way!
The iconic cafe in the gorgeous village of Burrawang has long been a fave brekky, lunch and coffee spot with locals… and if possible, we’ve just found some reasons to love it even more….
Starting with the new boutique ‘Blue Door Trading’ they’ve just opened [they’ve been busy!]. You’ll find the new shop behind the cafe, where Erica and her crew have lovingly restored the beautiful old building. It's filled with new and pre-loved furniture, rugs, homewares and gifts [candles, scarves, locally made crafts and other goodies], cocktail mixes, great stuff for kids and an awesome range of curated foodie packs [straight from the cafe’s kitchen!] to make the perfect meal at home.
So, if you needed an excuse to visit? Here it is! Head in to enjoy a delicious meal [the kitchen crew make everything from scratch, in-house]. The menu’s great with some exciting influences from owner Erica’s travels [yay for cornbread!], a cup of yummy Allpress coffee, followed by a visit to their new shop bluedoortrading. Pop it on the list for this weekend!
And, good news for dog-owners - dogs are very welcome on the verandah and in the garden, so you can bring them along + there are plenty of bike racks… so our cyclist friends out there, The Burrawang General Store can be your perfect destination to rest and refuel, or there are plenty of takeaway options as well.
Head to the link in our bio for more info.
